The weather was not good when we stayed at Cave Lodge. It was either raining or drisly nearly every day. One afternoon when it was not raining too hard, we went to this Karen village. The elephants arrived back from work just after we got there. We were offered an elephant ride, but we declined because it was getting late and I did not not to ride back along the slippery dirt road in the dark. Also, just after we arrived, there was a sudden shower, and it is not fun riding a bike in heavy rain. As it was,we made the right decision. I had to push the bike up some of the hills on the way back as the wheels, and at times my boots, had no traction.
